ACPS works with local and national journalists, elected officials, and community leaders to take them through various “Shoot or Don’t Shoot” scenarios. These real life situations put the participants in the shoes of a police officer as they make the life and death decisions on whether or not to discharge their weapon.

The program provides the participants a unique view into the perspective of law enforcement officers and the situations they have to face every day. This added perspective has been very successful at providing context and changing minds on the actions of law enforcement and the difficult task they have of identifying enemies and allies in the everyday course of protecting our communities.
